XMMS2tray is a small XMMS 2 client that displays an icon in the X11 system tray with a popup menu. If libnotify and notification-daemon are properly set up, it will also display notification “bubbles.”
Dependencies
You will need:
- XMMS 2 (obviously)
- Python (version 2)
- PyGTK, version 2.10 or newer
- optionally notify-python and notification-daemon from galago if you want notication bubbles
- optionally the Python Imaging Library (PIL) if you want cover artwork in the notifications

The current version of XMMS2tray is 0.5.1, released on April 5, 2010.

Installation
XMMS2tray is packages with distutils. To install, run python setup.py install
